The review --
This set was nowhere near as good as the first one. There was much less real story, and more just stuff to connect the sex scenes together. There wasn't much monogamy in this book, and I definitely didn't care for the forced sex/punishment scenes, as they felt more like rape/assault scenes. There was a new character introduced in this set named Rowan that I just didn't care for, and her character seemed to dominate the books too much. The storyline in this set of books just wasn't anywhere near as strong as the last set either. The storyline focused on Rowan too much and not on the characters from the last book enough. The only parts of this set that I did like were a few sections about the characters from the first books.
It's one redeeming value is that it does have a somewhat happily ever after ending. But the sex scenes in this book are more raunchy than the last book. It's almost like the author tried to find out how vulgar she could get in this set. There were pairings of m/f, m/m, m/f/m, f/f, etc. The first set had a stronger storyline, was more orderly, and had much better sex scenes. The sex scenes in this one were cruder, and there was even an orgy or two in the book as well.
I definitely would not recommend this set to anyone at all. The first set was good erotica, but this second set falls far short, and has turned me away from wanting to read anything further from this author.
