All throughout this book I was wondering -- why the heck would a new mother take up being a private detective? That makes no sense, considering all a new mother has to deal with; and putting the lives of her and her child at stake? That one major story flaw erodes the enjoyment of the whole book. Plus, she too conveniently has too many spare hands to take care of her child, which she is constantly dumping off on someone. And, she's dumb as a fence post regarding the detective work, despite this being book no. 4.

This is a wildly wonderful book that has it all. It's set in the exotic location of Egypt and the pyramids, back in the 20s I believe. Wonderful characters and an awesome story. There's murders and mystery, and a great whodunit.
