Review: Married for Christmas

Married for Christmas Married for Christmas by Noelle Adams
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Where do I begin? First off, I am a minister's wife; and no, we didn't get married so he could get a church. We got married because we fell in love. So,
FIRST OFF - NO PASTOR IS GOING TO MARRY A WOMAN JUST SO THAT HE CAN GET A CHURCH.
No way, just not going to happen. If he did, then he needs to quit the ministry altogether because he understands nothing of what the Bible teaches about marriage.
I skimmed through a few pages and then dumped the book. I was so put off by the blurb. It's insulting to every Godly marriage out there. The whole storyline is just ludicrous. Plus, it never works well for a minister to pastor his home church; it's a built in recipe for disaster.
So no, I didn't like this book. None of it works.

Review: We Wish You A Ferret Christmas

We Wish You A Ferret Christmas We Wish You A Ferret Christmas by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a nice book, an entertaining read; but not particularly memorable for me. I remember the beginning of the story, but don't recall how it ended. Good book with interesting characters.

This is a terribly cute story, with lots of fun humor in it. I liked the characters and the story. A very fun paranormal romance to read, and it makes a delightful Christmas read too. Enjoy.

Review: Christmas Kringle

Christmas Kringle Christmas Kringle by Danni Roan
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

There's a good story here, with interesting characters. But the reason that I ended up giving it only 1 star is because this is a half finished book. The story ends, but DOES NOT CONCLUDE! And skimming through the blurbs about the other books in this series, I'm not sure when or just where the author does conclude this story. It's a crying shame that the author published a half finished book. If she had published the whole story, I would have given it 5 stars probably.

Review: Miss Kane's Christmas

Miss Kane's Christmas Miss Kane's Christmas by Caroline Mickelson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book goes up there as one of the most delightful Christmas romance novels I've read. It's in my Christmas book hall of fame. It's a delightful story, with wonderful characters. I love it when a writer puts Santa or his family in a Christmas romance novel. It just doesn't get more Christmassy or delightful than this.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is another book that I remember fondly, and it's a very fun story to read. I enjoyed it a lot and upped the star rating on it too. It's a very good book to read, and rates high on the fun Christmassy factor too. Just the thing to grab for you Christmas holiday reading.

Review: Dog Days of Love

Dog Days of Love Dog Days of Love by Rachelle Ayala
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is another great tale from the pen of author Rachelle Ayala, this time telling the story of the youngest Hart and his attempts at romance. He is struggling to get the interest of a girl who is focused on other things. I would tell you how it turns out, but you need to find out that for yourself. Needless to say, it's an interesting journey as these 2 come together.

Review: Drive Me Crazy

Drive Me Crazy Drive Me Crazy by Marquita Valentine
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This is another one of those books that lost me in the first few pages. For one thing, the main thing, the main female in this book, right off the bat, comes off as nothing but an oversexed bimbo. And the guy is going on about how she ..... arouses him.

Now I don't read books for sex scenes. I want a story, romance, and I would prefer that the woman doesn't come off as a brainless oversexed bimbo.

Christmas Lights: A Collection of Inspiring Christmas Novellas Christmas Lights: A Collection of Inspiring Christmas Novellas by Vikki Kestell

I must admit, I didn't get past the first book in this collection. It was very depressing and rather gruesome as well. It didn't inspire me to want to read any further.

This book is a really fun, delicious read that I enjoyed a lot. It's more a Christmas in July type thing, but the story is great. Not one to be missed. I love the characters and the story, especially the santa character and his wife.

Review: The Unintended Fiance

The Unintended Fiance The Unintended Fiance by Miranda P. Charles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I must admit, that this is one of those that by the time I got to writing my review online, I decided to up the star rating from 3 to 5, because I had such good memories of the story. I mean, that's the true litmus test of a book ..... get a few days away from it, and how well do you remember it? Do you remember it fondly? Remember what you didn't like about it? Or don't remember it at all?

Well, this book is one I remember fondly. It's a fun and wonderful story to read, which I think you'll enjoy. The twists and turns that the story takes make for great reading. This one, I recommend heartily.

Review: A Michaelmas Wager

A Michaelmas Wager A Michaelmas Wager by Emily Murdoch
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The whole premise of this books is rather disgusting, and I couldn't get past the first few pages. A group of young men get drunk at a public event, and make a stupid wager about marrying some young woman that they pick out at random. Poor young woman. And this is supposed to have a happy ending? Sorry, but no, a marriage that starts out on a stupid drunken wager and involves an innocent young woman who happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time ....... nope, no way that should have a happy ending.

Review: A Christmas Village to Call Home

A Christmas Village to Call Home A Christmas Village to Call Home by Lisa Pendergrass
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Another one of those books that simply didn't grab me. For me, if you haven't gotten me by the first 5 pages, you're not going to and I'm probably going to bolt. That was the story here. Hope others enjoy it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Review: A Christmas Homecoming

A Christmas Homecoming A Christmas Homecoming by Melissa McClone

This was another one of those books that I shelved rather quickly. The heroine was too syrupy and the guy responded to her a bit too quickly. It all put me off reading the book and I moved on to something else.

Review: The Christmas Secret

The Christmas Secret The Christmas Secret by Jeannie Watt
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This is an all right book, but nothing to write home about. For the most part, I enjoyed it all right, but I didn't care for the ending as it wasn't very conclusive to me. Not what I'm wanting in a book.

Review: Building A Christmas

Building A Christmas Building A Christmas by Patricia Bond
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I tried reading this one, really I did; but I found it way too depressing. I don't read books to be depressed. I want to read about fun and stuff. This just was not my cup of tea.

If you like dark novels and storylines, then you might like this; but I sure didn't.

Dune, Dock, and a Dead Man Dune, Dock, and a Dead Man by Carolyn L. Dean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read book 1 in this series, and was delighted when I ran across book 2 up for free as well. I loved book 1, and book 2 wasn't a disappointment either. Both books are awesome! If you like the cozy mystery genre and are in search of a series to read, this one is a good one to follow.
