into her heart.
Just when Emma starts

Will she ever be free
to live the life she truly wants? Or will her torturous past finally catch up
to her?

The review --
This is a great read,
very emotional. I’m not usually a fan of books that go back and forth between
past and present but the author does a phenomenal job with it in this story.
Emma Harrington is working to survive a past that won’t seem to leave her alone.
Ryan her ex, police officer, fiancĂ© was abusive and after she leaves him he’s
continuing to stalk her, insisting she is his. A year after Emma leaves Ryan
she’s decided to get a tattoo to symbolize her growth and that’s when she meets
the gorgeous Phoenix, who also happens to be her bosses nephew. Emma and Nix’s
relationship starts as friendship as Nix, alongside Emma’s brothers does
whatever they can to keep Emma safe from Ryan. Their relationship grows from
friendship to more but Emma is scared to go down that road again.
This is a fantastic
story, a complete roller coaster of emotion from crying to yelling in anger
you’ll experience it all while reading this book. The plot is original, the
book is well written and face paced with great character development. As far as
I can tell this isn’t a series but I wouldn’t complain if we got Emma’s
brothers stories!
