Mistakes Were Made (A
Pygmalion Fail Book 2) by Casey Matthews
About the book:
Had Isaac known Rune
was a real world populated by his fantasy illustrations come to life—or that
he’d find himself stuck there—he’d have thought longer on the politics of Queen
Eliandra. As it stands, the Queen would love nothing more than to jail him and
enlist his powers against the vengeful wizard Dracon.
But first Isaac and
the impetuous Queen, along with the mysterious samurai Ronin and aided by
Isaac’s best friend Dak, must fight their way through the Palace of Ten
Thousand Chambers, filled with traps and horrors designed by Isaac on a
late-night caffeine binge.
If only he could
remember what he put in the dungeon’s final chamber…

The review --
Okay, so this is the
2nd best book I've read this year. The first best was book 1 in this series. I
love this series, I love the story, I especially love the characters that the
author has created. And what if you're not into role playing games? No biggie.
Neither am I, but I loved this book.
The wonderful humor in
the first book is still present in this book too. Another thing I really liked
in this book is the relationship between Dak and Isaac gets explored some more.
The endings of both books were continued type endings, but not cliffhangers. It
doesn't leave you desperate to know what happens next, but it does leave you
definitely wanting more. And I do want more. I want to read book 3, and find
out what happens next with these characters and these stories.
If there's any book
that you should put on your MUST-READ list, it is books 1 and 2 of this series.
They are simply great. They have drama, they have depth, they have humor ….
simply put, they have it all. All the things a great book should have.
