A simply wonderful historical romance, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The give and take between the characters, Harriet and Oliver, is a delight to read. I could totally sympathize with her insecurities about her appearance, as I had some myself when I was younger. Reading about Oliver's path to discovering his love for Harriet was great. There were other characters and a minor storyline, that helped fill out the book and make it a great 5 star read. I loved, loved, loved it.
Yes, there were sex scenes in the book, but not till later in the book, were appropriately placed, and well written.
No, there was no violence in the book. Only one scene were Harriet falls down some stairs, but no violence involved.
Overall, a very touching book that was a great read that I enjoyed a lot and that I would highly recommend.
