McClain
Overall star rating
--- 5
About the book:
A curse, a dragon
shifter, a feisty virgin bride, and a love story to melt your heart.
It’s finally the day
of claiming. A dragon charges in breathing fire and leaves with an unwilling
captive as his new bride. Roxanne, one of the brides he will chose from, wants
nothing to do with the tradition that has gone on for thousands of years. From
an early age she’s had one goal...
Kill the dragon.
Laryn—arrogant,
gorgeous, and heartbroken since the death of his former bride has a plan for
the new one. He will never love again. Of course, the last thing he expects is
a feisty warrior landing on his back with a sharp sword in her hands intent on
death. His death.
It’s a match made in…
well… you need to read to find out.

The review --
This is book 2 of the
Fire Chronicles series, and our focus is on Laryn and Roxanne. You have to give
Roxanne credit, she comes out swinging, and doesn't quite stop. She's a force
for Laryn to reckon with, and that adds great spice to the book.
If you read book 1,
then you were already introduced to Laryn, who is one lonely dragon. His
surprise when his bride attacks him, rather than the usual greeting, is tons of
fun.
The story in this book
gets even better than the first, as Laryn tries to tame his combative bride. It
all trails down to a wonderful ending, but you'll have to read the book to find
out more.
