Only Broken Things Are
Free (A Pygmalion Fail Book 3) by Casey Matthews
Overall star rating
--- 5
About the book:
In the concluding book
of the Pygmalion Fail trilogy, the world of Rune stands on the brink of chaos
as dragons overtake the Queen’s capital. Isaac, along with the Queen and his
samurai bodyguard Ronin, must escape to a mystic sanctuary aboard a sky ship
crewed by beautiful female warriors who find him ridiculous—and whose opinion
of his best friend, who happens to be an orc, is lower still.
Meanwhile, Isaac’s
already weird relationship with his samurai protector takes another turn when
he learns of Ronin’s origins—and those of Rune itself.
But there’s precious
little time for bickering now. He’ll need all his allies if he’s to defeat the
Lord of Dragons.

The review --
This book, like the
others in the series, is an absolute delight to read. Although, there were a
couple of moment towards the end when I wondered if I was going to continue to
like this book in the end. But the author has written a wonderful conclusion to
an awesome series.
And yet, the ending
leaves the door open to further novels in this series; but yet leaves the
reader feeling very satisfied at the ending they were given.
This book has slightly
less humor than the other two, but that in no way diminishes this book. This is
the conclusion after all, and the big battle happens in this book. But there
are humorous moments here and there. The action is wonderfully intense, and
very well written.
Can't remember when
I've enjoyed a series more. I highly recommend this series to any reader, but
especially to science fiction fans, fantasy fans, and gamers.
