The review --
A different take on
the paranormal romance, but well written by a talented author. This one
involves centaur shifters, which is quite different and not something I've read
before. The book focuses more on the characters and the relationships and
what's going on, rather than graphic sex scenes, which I like. It focuses on
the story and the characters, and the story is a great one.
** spoiler alert **
One thing I didn't
quite like about the book was that it had what I would term as a bittersweet
happy ending rather than a happily ever after (HEA) ending. But otherwise, it
is a very well written book that takes paranormal romance in a totally
different direction than other books do. The author is very talented and is a
very good writer. All in all, this is a book I enjoyed.
Additional note --
Since reading this book, I have since had the chance to read the first book in
the series, which is excellent too by the way. And the ending of this book
makes much more sense and reads better if you know the events of book one.
